At Wessex Water, our Customer Policy team is dedicated to actively engaging with our community to spread awareness about the support we offer to our customers. Over the past couple of months, we have participated in several events to connect with various groups and provide valuable assistance. Here are some highlights:
- MP Cost of Living Event (Radstock): We supported a community drop-in session organised by a local MP, offering guidance on managing living costs.
- Financially Vulnerable Pensioners Event (Sherbourne): Our team attended a warm space event to discuss financial support options with pensioners in need.
- Village Agent Talk (Weston-super-Mare): We engaged with carers supporting individuals living with dementia, sharing information on how we can assist them.
- Kidney Care Drop-In (Southmead Hospital): In partnership with Kidney Care UK, we met with dialysis patients to advise them on available support.
- Care Leavers Event (Bridgwater): Organised by Somerset Council, this event focused on supporting young people leaving care. We promoted our newly released Care Leavers support scheme. More info here: New support for care leavers.
- OVO In The Community Event (Lockleaze, Bristol): As part of Warm Welcome Week, we joined OVO Energy to offer advice and information on supporting customers, especially during the winter months.
